Ben and Charmaine Warner are the owners of The Margaret River Truffle Farm, a family-run enterprise in Western Australia's renowned Margaret River region. His journey into truffle farming began in 2012 when, during a visit to Margaret River, he discovered truffle butter at a local food festival. Captivated by its flavor, Ben and his wife, Charmaine, decided to establish their own truffle orchard, planting 700 truffle-inoculated oak and hazelnut trees.
After five years of careful cultivation, the Warners opened their farm to the public, offering unique truffle-hunting experiences led by their trained Labrador, Alby. These tours provide visitors with insights into truffle cultivation and the opportunity to participate in the harvesting process.
Delicious tastings of fresh truffle and truffle products are available on a variety of Truffle Tours.
Additional Info: Truffle season is primarily during the winter months of June, July and August
